Integration · Google Calendar
The Google Calendar integration that lets an AI agent book straight into your calendar
Authorize once and pick a calendar. During a call, the AI appointment setter checks free-busy inside the hours you set, offers slots in the lead's timezone, and creates the event with an invite. No Google Cloud project, no OAuth code, no free-busy maths.
- One OAuth click, pick the calendar from a list
- Working hours and slot length are settings
- Invites sent on the call

What it does
Where Google Calendar shows up in a campaign
Three places an integration can appear: as the event that starts a run, as a node in the workflow, or as a tool the agent calls mid-conversation.
Triggers
Google Calendar does not send events. Start campaigns from a contact event, a tag, a Calendly event, an API call or an import.
Workflow nodes
Agent tools
googleCalendar_getSlots
Returns free slots on the chosen calendar, inside the workday hours and slot length you configured, in the lead's timezone.
googleCalendar_createEvent
Creates the event and invites the lead. You choose whether invites go to all attendees, external guests only, or nobody.
googleCalendar_getEvents
Lists events in a window, so a callback can start with what is already booked.
Campaigns
Three campaigns teams run with Google Calendar
Each one is a published workflow you can draw in an afternoon. The guides walk through every node.
Speed to lead
New leads get a call within a minute and an event on your calendar before they hang up.
- Contact created
- Send SMS
- Wait 60s
- AI call · createEvent
- Loop counter
Lead qualification
Qualified leads are booked into the right person's calendar; the rest go to nurture.
- Contact created
- AI call · qualify
- Add tag
- Send email
Callback handling
When a lead asks for 4pm, the run parks and the agent calls back at 4pm with the calendar to hand.
- Tag added
- AI call
- Loop counter
- Send SMS
Setup
Connect Google Calendar in five minutes
No Google Cloud console. One click, one dropdown, two tools.
- 1
Authorize Google
On the Connections page choose Google Calendar and approve access. SuperCampaign stores the refresh token encrypted and renews it.
- 2
Pick the calendar
Your calendars load into a dropdown on the tools. Use one calendar per closer or surveyor so bookings land where they look.
- 3
Create the tools
Get-slots, with workday hours and slot length; create-event, with the invite policy; optionally get-events.
- 4
Attach them to the agent
SuperCampaign registers them with Vapi as API-request tools with hosted, signed endpoints.
- 5
Publish
The run timeline shows each tool call, the event created and the invite sent.
Details
What the integration supports today
The facts, including what Google Calendar cannot do that Calendly can.
- Authentication
- Google OAuth. Tokens refreshed automatically, stored encrypted, scoped to your organization. The same Google connection can also send Gmail.
- Triggers
- None from Google Calendar. Unlike Calendly, Google does not fire an event into SuperCampaign when a booking is made or cancelled; start confirmation campaigns from a tag or the API.
- Workflow nodes
- None. Calendar checks inside workflows exist for Calendly and iClosed; for Google Calendar, use the get-events tool on the call.
- Agent tools
- Get slots, create event and get events, each pointed at a calendar you choose.
- Availability logic
- Free-busy on the chosen calendar, intersected with your workday hours, cut into slots of your chosen length.
- Time handling
- All times carry explicit UTC offsets; slots are offered in the lead's timezone.
FAQ
Questions about the Google Calendar integration
Do I need a Google Cloud project or API keys?
No. Authorization is a single OAuth click in SuperCampaign, and the calendar is chosen from a dropdown.
Can it book into a shared or team calendar?
Yes, any calendar the authorizing Google account can write to. Create one tool per calendar if the agent should book different people.
Does the lead get an invite?
Yes, when the invite policy on the create-event tool is set to all attendees or external guests. Google sends the invitation.
Can a Google Calendar booking start a campaign?
Not directly; Google does not send events to SuperCampaign. Start the campaign from a tag applied when the booking is made, or through the API.
Calendly or Google Calendar?
Calendly can trigger campaigns on bookings and cancellations and can be checked inside a workflow; Google Calendar cannot. If your team books on Google Calendar already, the tools cover the call itself. Many teams use both.
