Add an AI call campaign to a GoHighLevel workflow with one Custom Webhook action
Keep your funnels, pipelines and automations in GoHighLevel. When a lead reaches the stage where a call should happen, a Custom Webhook action posts them to the SuperCampaign API, and the campaign takes it from there: text, wait, AI call, calendar booking, retries and callbacks, on your own Vapi and Twilio accounts.
- One GHL action, no middleware
- Your Vapi and Twilio, no per-minute markup
- Books on Calendly, Google Calendar or iClosed

What it does
Where GoHighLevel shows up in a campaign
Three places an integration can appear: as the event that starts a run, as a node in the workflow, or as a tool the agent calls mid-conversation.
Triggers
Contact created · Tag added
The Custom Webhook action upserts the lead through the SuperCampaign API with a campaign tag. The resulting contact-created or tag-added event starts the campaign, exactly as a form submission would.
Workflow nodes
Agent tools
The agent does not call GoHighLevel tools directly; GoHighLevel is used by the workflow nodes.
Campaigns
Three campaigns teams run with GoHighLevel
Each one is a published workflow you can draw in an afternoon. The guides walk through every node.
Speed to lead
A GHL form or funnel opt-in triggers the workflow; the webhook action fires; the lead is called within a minute.
- GHL form → webhook action
- Contact created
- Send SMS
- AI call
- Loop ×3
Lead qualification
When an opportunity moves to a stage, the agent calls, asks your questions, and books qualified leads.
- GHL pipeline stage → webhook
- Tag added
- AI call · qualify
- Add tag
Database reactivation
Run a bulk action on a smart list of old contacts; each one is posted to the API and worked through inside quiet hours.
- GHL smart list → bulk action
- Tag added
- Send SMS
- AI call
Setup
Connect GoHighLevel in ten minutes
Everything happens inside a GHL workflow. Nothing to install.
- 1
Create an API key in SuperCampaign
On the API keys page, create a key for the organization that should run the campaign. Copy it once; it is shown only at creation.
- 2
Build or open the GHL workflow
Pick the trigger where the call should happen: a form submitted, a pipeline stage changed, a tag added, or a smart-list bulk action.
- 3
Add a Custom Webhook action
Method POST, URL set to the contacts upsert endpoint shown on your API keys page, an Authorization header of Bearer followed by your key, and a JSON body.
- 4
Map the fields with GHL custom values
firstName from {{contact.first_name}}, phone from {{contact.phone}}, email from {{contact.email}}, matchBy set to phone, and a tags array such as ["ghl-new-lead"]. Add utmSource and utmCampaign if you track them.
- 5
Publish a campaign on that tag
In SuperCampaign, draw the campaign starting from Tag added: ghl-new-lead, publish it, then publish the GHL workflow. Test with your own number.

What the integration supports today
This is an API integration driven from the GHL side. Here is exactly what flows, and what does not yet.
- Direction
- GoHighLevel to SuperCampaign. GHL's Custom Webhook action makes the HTTP call; SuperCampaign's API creates or updates the contact and starts the campaign.
- Authentication
- A SuperCampaign organization API key in a Bearer header. GHL's webhook action supports custom headers.
- Fields
- Name, phone, email, company, tags, lists, UTM fields and per-channel consent flags. GHL custom values fill them at run time.
- Deduplication
- The upsert endpoint matches on phone or email, merges tags and adds lists, so re-running a GHL workflow never creates duplicates.
- Write-back to GHL
- Not today. SuperCampaign does not post call outcomes into GoHighLevel. Read outcomes and transcripts through the SuperCampaign API or the logs page.
- Relationship to GHL Voice AI
- GoHighLevel has its own Voice AI. SuperCampaign is a separate campaign engine on your own Vapi and Twilio accounts; use it when you want the sequence around the call and provider choice, and keep GHL as the CRM.
FAQ
Questions about the GoHighLevel integration
Is this a native GoHighLevel integration?
It is an API integration that runs from a standard GHL workflow action. There is nothing to install in GHL and no marketplace app. The Custom Webhook action makes one HTTP call per lead.
Does it work with GHL sub-accounts?
Yes. Create one SuperCampaign organization per sub-account with its own API key, numbers and calendar, and point each sub-account's workflow at its own key. This is how agencies run it.
Can it write the booking back to GoHighLevel?
Not today. Call outcomes, bookings and transcripts live on the contact's timeline in SuperCampaign and are readable through the API. Write-back is on the roadmap; tell us on a demo call if it is a requirement.
Why not just use GoHighLevel's Voice AI?
If GHL's Voice AI does what you need, use it. SuperCampaign adds the campaign around the call, texts, waits, calendar checks, retries and callbacks, and runs on your own Vapi account so you choose the model and voice and pay providers directly.
Will re-running a workflow call the same lead twice?
The upsert endpoint matches on phone, so the contact is updated rather than duplicated. Whether a second campaign run starts depends on your trigger; use a tag the workflow only applies once, or check for an existing booking before calling.
What does it cost?
SuperCampaign has a free plan. You pay Vapi and Twilio for minutes at their rates. GHL's webhook action is part of GHL's workflow features.
